I had some deep emotional wounds from my past that followed me for many years. The void for love, like a black hole, was eternally deep. Nothing could fill my void. I needed love on such a deep level. I tried to fill it with friendships and sexual relationships with men and women. I often numbed the pain with marijuana and alcohol, but these chemicals usually just intensified my feelings. I searched through an endless maze. I discovered that the love that I was searching for could only be found in Jesus Christ. I needed to be rooted and grounded in His love. (See Eph. 3:17.)

Once He came into my life and filled my heart with His love, everything began to change. My inward man began to be renewed day by day. (See 2 Cor. 4:16.) I began to feel and understand what true love was all about. The love of God can only be experienced in His presence. It emanates from His people. This was different from any love that I had ever experienced.

To every person who has experienced the war and torment of perversion, specifically homosexuality . . . the love, peace, and freedom that you seek can be Found only in Jesus Christ.
